Our Approach
We're not a lodge, and we're not your ground operator. We're your personal safari expert—an independent advisor who listens first, then designs, coordinates, and handpicks the very best local partners to bring your journey to life.
We've spent years cultivating relationships with Africa's most respected camps, guides, and conservation partners. From finding the right country, season, and private conservancy to arranging VIP airport escorts, bush flights, and lantern-lit dinners under impossible stars—we make sure your journey feels effortless. The kind of trip where you simply be present while we work behind the scenes to make it extraordinary.
Why Where You Stay Matters
We believe where you stay—and who you travel with—shapes more than your experience. It shapes the future of Africa's wildlife, communities, and wild spaces. That's why we only partner with camps, lodges, and guides who protect what makes these places extraordinary: who support anti-poaching efforts, empower local communities, and ensure your safari doesn't just leave memories—it leaves meaningful contributions. True luxury isn't just about thread count and sundowners. It's about what your presence makes possible.

A Note from Our Founder
After designing trips to over 70 countries—and planning multiple safaris across East and Southern Africa—I kept noticing the same thing.
Most safari planners are exceptional at logistics. They secure permits, book beautiful camps, coordinate charters. Everything runs smoothly.
What they miss is the curation that makes a safari transcendent rather than just well-executed.
I'd watch families spend $50,000 because someone told them to go to Botswana in January—only to discover the water experiences they'd imagined didn't exist until June. Or chase the Migration without anyone asking whether the intimacy of the green season might actually move them more. Or book architectural luxury when canvas walls that let you hear lions at 3 AM was what they came for.
The gap wasn't effort. It was insight.
That's what I built Reverie Safaris to provide.
I work with a small number of families each year—typically multigenerational groups looking for private villas where three generations can move at their own rhythm without compromise. You work directly with me from the first conversation to your return home.
What makes our process different is that we start with questions most planners never ask.
Not just where you want to go—but why. What you've seen in photos that made you want this. Whether you're trying to give your parents a trip they'll talk about for decades or show your kids something that rewires how they see the world.
Then how you actually travel as a family. Whether flexibility matters more than structure. Whether your teenager needs adventure or your mother needs rest. Whether you want to linger over breakfast while everyone else rushes to the 6 AM drive.
Only then do we design where and when.
Because timing isn't logistics—it's everything. It's the difference between showing up in Botswana when the Delta is flooded and the mokoro experiences you're imagining actually exist, or finding dust. Between capturing the Migration at the river crossing or arriving three weeks late. Between green season when you have entire conservancies to yourself, or peak season competing with a dozen other vehicles.
You should show up at exactly the right time, in exactly the right place, for exactly the right reasons.
